1968 427 SS Camaro Owned By Denny And Barbara Rice
The car was bought in California. It was built for a MLB baseball player named Troy Glauss, now with the St. Louis, Cardinals. He sold the car upon being transferred to Toronto and had to move to Canada from California. We acquired the car through a friend of the family. We have found the numbers on this 427 to be matching the era of the car, however they didn't put 427's in a 1968 Camaro, but would install them at some dealerships at the customer's request. It was built in the Norwalk California plant. There is a dealership in So. Cal. by the name of Dana Chevrolet that built a lot of these cars for the racing end of it. We have no way of knowing if this 427 was installed at that dealership, but may have been. This car came with a 427, 435 HP, V8 engine, a Close Ratio Muncie 4 speed and a 12 bolt rear end. If you want to know if it's fast...ask Bob Andros.
